  • Teuer bezahlte Wartezeit

    Ich war mal Fan - aber wenn ich extra für den neuen AVATAR-Teil anreise und dann beide „Attractions“ jeweils 150 min Wartezeit verlangen dann gehe ich wieder. Wenn dann im Epcot-Park die Wartezeit-Apps für das neue FROZEN „nur“ 85 min also 1 ½ h angesagt ist und man endlich ankommt um dort vor Ort festzustellen dass die Atraction GAR NICHT läuft (und man daher auch die Apps zur Wartezeit vergessen kann (davon gibt’s mehrere und die zeigen auch noch unterschiedliche Zeiten an) - ja, dann hab ich keinen Bock mehr. Mit den Bussen kommt man als parkhopper gut von einem Park in den nächsten. Doch überall wird gebaut - es ist grauenhaft. Natürlich muss sich Disney aktualisieren und moderner werden (Disneyland Shanghai zeigt , was geht!) - aber dennoch: in der off-Season Wartezeiten von über zwei Stunden - in der Kälte und im Dunkeln. Nee, das mache ich nicht mehr mit. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT
  • Paid too much for standing in line most of time since park was too full

    A lot of rides like the Expedition Everest and the river rapid we’re totally closed most or all of the time. The dinosaur ride was only half working although there was a long waiting line and it could have gone twice that fast. There was NO chance to see the avatar flight ride (except if you didn’t want to see anything else) since the waiting time was not under 4 hours or more at no time. We did get in line for some rides but there was almost no time left for shows which was really sad. We couldn’t use our fast pass for any of the big rides since they were all booked out. I don’t believe in that concepts since it’s privileges a few to get to do the good rides and the majority has no chance to get in since the others are always preferred and the standard line barely moves. Whenever we tried to make more of our visit by talking to guest relations, there was a long waiting line, too, which was still there whenever we left the park. The person in front of the guest relations was really unfriendly when we tried to find out whether it’s worth to get in line. I’m negatively surprised how unfriendly she was. So instead of wasting more time in getting in that line where they might not be able to do sth for us, we decided to go in line for a ride instead. By the end of the day we were kind of frustrated instead of happy since the park was way too full and I think it’s sad that Disney is only all about money and not about getting a great park experience anymore. They should limit the ticket number or enable guests to come back another day for a cheaper price or sth but this also doesn’t work for most of the people since they come like us from further away and outside the country and are only there for that day. Unfortunately I must really say that I’m disappointed and sad about it.

    Die App ist leicht zu handhaben, das braucht kein großes Geschick. Wenn man sich anmelden möchte, kann man vieles besser Verwalten und man kann sogar einen Plan für sich erstellen. Man sieht alles auf einen Blick und es ist alles Wichtige enthalten, zum Beispiel die Wartezeiten oder Essensmöglichkeiten. Es ist halt wie der Plan, bloß für alle Disney-Parks in Orlando/Florida in einem, der alles zeigt, was man wissen möchte. Ich bin begeistert von der App und froh sie zu haben, denn sie ist unglaublich nützlich.
  • Booking and plans are a nightmare

    ... if you‘ve never been to Disney World, plan a couple of hours to get through the maze of plans and options. Registration processes and apps which are confusing and reporting errors. FastPass has some pitfalls, too. Don‘t assume a plastic card that you buy somewhere is the ‚keycard‘ and entrance: It might only be a voucher plastic card, that looks exactly the same as the tickets. When trying to enter with the FastPass, we were told that we have to book via the app and schedule in advance (who could know, no information received, when we got‘em). At the time, all attractions were booked out. So the FastPass was worthless. The park itself has a lot to offer, food was very good and is still affordable (end of 2017). But frustration factor was hight. Next time we‘d know better, if there‘s any.
